Dear Acer Community. This is my only laptop computer. I do not have a desktop computer. After months of non-use, I cannot start the computer while the the notebook is being charged. Orange battery light flashes as I depress the power button. Nothing happens. School will start soon. I need this laptop to work on my assignments. Please advise.

Have you tried to pull off the battery and start your notebook only with Ac charger connected?

    I'm not an Acer employee.

How do you pull out the battery? There is an imprint of a battery and a pin hole next to it like a reset button pin hole, but I don't see a place to pull the battery out like the backside of a TV remote control battery storage area. Please describe location to extract battery.

Sorry, on your model you can't remove the battery.

    My fault.

I used the wrong charger, so the laptop was never charged. The pin hole where the battery is located may reset the laptop charger and I was able to temporarily start the system to see that my battery was only 5% charged. Thank you for your help. I learned a little more about my laptop from this experince as well as how to be a bit more aware about what I use on my equipment. Thanks.
