X1470 network driver problem

I recently had to format my hard drive and reinstall windows. i installed windows 7 home premium 64bit, because that was what was originally on the system. i downloaded the correct network drivers on a different computer, placed them on a usb flash drive, then attempted to install them on the x1470, however im getting an error that says the drivers i am trying to install are for the incorrect version of windows, so i went back, downloaded all of the drivers for both the 32 bit and 64 bit systems and tried to install them all one by one. i got the exact same error for every single one. the system is either 32 or 64 bit, so why does it tell me i have the incorrect version no matter which one i try install?

    Start/control panel/hardware and sound/ device manager

If there is any device with the Yellow exclamation mark:

double click on the device with the Yellow exclamation mark, then click on Details tab and scroll down to "hardware ID" on propriety menu, highlight the first value and copy/paste here the value.

%RTL8168.DeviceDesc% could not be found in the INF

    That's really strange since :

    %RTL8168.DeviceDesc%  = RTL8168E.ndi, PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&SUBSYS_80001025&REV_06 ;Acer

this is the string available on the .inf for x64, so the driver is correct.

this is inside the WIN7/64 folder.

The drivers available on Acer support site are good, so...

Rigth click on the Ethernet adapter, Uninstall, reboot and retry to install manually the drivers you downloaded.
