Iv been trying to get a Acer Predator G3620 to boot from the CD/DVD but the optical drive is not avaliable in the F12 Boot menu (Only the Hard drive is avaliable).

Is there any additional BIOS config needed to get the CD/DVD avaliable in the boot menu?

    Furingstad,

What operating system are you trying to install? If it shipped with Windows 8 and you are trying to install Windows 7 or another operating system, then you will have to go into the BIOS and enable legacy boot.

To set DVD/CD as bootable option, go into BIOS and under BOOT select DVD/CD move to TOP then HDD will be set as #2 select.... insert the DVD - and when you restart if you set DVD as first boot it will auto select the DVD, NOT ALL ACERS HAVE THE ABILITY TO CHANGE FROM UEFI TO LEGACY BIOS... so i do recommend you insure if your trying to install Windows 7 that it still have the UEFI Boot options...
