Keyboard problem Acer V3-772g: letters stop occasionally working

Hello everyone,

I’ve got a problem with m keyboard. It all started with the “y“ key, which started to work occasionally. I thought that the key was damaged and therefore I started switching to English keyboard settings while writing when I wanted to write a y.

Usually I don’t shut down my laptop but I had to do a restart tonight. Now I have issues with other keys as well (it is a pain in the ***** to write these sentences). They work for a few seconds, and then then don’t react. When I type slowly it works better. Obviously the keyboard works, but it looks like there is an issue with the driver or something like that. One time it works fine and in the other moments I cannot type “e” or “W” or “l” or other latters.

I have an Acer V3-772g and I already tried re-installing the standard keyboard driver – any good suggestions on how to solve this problem? Might this be a virus or something like that?

Thanks in advance

Just checked the ease center for filter key activation (which wasn't checked), so I'm still stuck with the issue. Updated the bios, too. Did not solve the problem, though.

First, I have sometimes also issues with an auto typing keyboard. In my case, the letter "ß" is written continuously to the screen. I have to hammer that key to make it stop.

You problem could be triggered by an external device like a gamepad or something other that is connected to some of the USB ports. Disconnect all external USB devices including mouse and keyboards, if existend. Report back.

    Cheers silizium,

I am not using any game pad, since this is my work device. I bought an external keyboard for the time being, since I have no time to look for the cause. The external keyboard works finde but it is a little bit awkward to write with the keyboard on a laptop.
