Iconia W700, bluetooth keyboard stopped working.

Hello,

Some hours ago, my bluetooth keyboard has stopped working. And then I mean, there's no power on it at all, no LEDs lightened.

So I figured the battery had run out, and I connected the USB cable to load it. No help. I waited a while, and then I tried using another USB cable. In the meantime, it still doesn't work, not even with the cable connected.

Now what? Is it dead? Smiley Sad

Nothing special has happened before the keyboard died so that seems kind of odd. Should I wait even longer with the cable plugged in for the keyboard to load? Or is there something else I can try?

I hope it's still under warranty, but I'm not happy anymore about the shop where I bought this tablet (and other products), their service has gone from absolutely great to nothing during the last few years.. so I hope I can avoid going there.

If it's not under warranty anymore, what should I do? Can I go to another shop with it or should I directly contact Acer? Can these keyboards be fixed there, or can another one be bought? (seperately, since my tablet is still working perfectly)

And will I have to send in the tablet as well? (I hate to miss it for several weeks)

Thanks in advance.

I had given up all hope and I decided to try something: plugging in micro usb charger (ment for cell phones). This does seem to work, it's charging now and I'm actually typing on the keyboard right now. Few, so glad it's not dead!

But any idea what could be the problem with the normal micro usb cables? (plugged it into several devices such as a USB hub with power connected, plugged it into the USB port of my router as well)

I've tried two cables which work fine for other purposes. (the original white micro usb cable that came with my tablet was broken when I went on a trip)

    Any idea?

But in any case, I'm pretty relieved!
