Acer V5 keyboard issues

So first of all, I'd just like to say that it's bologna that Acer won't talk to you if your product is out of warranty. I get trying to keep costs lower but really, no contact without payment? As of right now, there's a good chance I will not be buying another Acer product in the future. Which is sad, because I really do like their products. I will always keep an open mind but once you see what my problem actually is you may understand why I'm so frustrated.

So, I am an owner of an Aspire V5... the V5-571P-6472 to be exact. I went into a Best Buy to buy a surface pro last year and it was out of stock, so I walked down to an office supply store to take a look, saw this notebook and fell in love. I've had it since Februrary of last year (about 17 months) and have never had a problem with it. In fact, I've been really surprised with how well this laptop has been so far (especially the cooling, which has worked better than any other notebook I've ever had).

Recently, the keyboard has started to act up. At times, the space bar, b key, v key, and number pad 6 key won't work unless you hold them for a bit. I updated all drivers, windows, etc. No go. So I threw a live disc of Ubuntu on to try to determine if it was just a Windows issue. Does the same thing. So now I'm down to it either being a hardware issue or a possible BIOS issue (I'm not sure how the keyboard is actually connected, so I'm not ruling it out unless someone tells me otherwise). So all that I am looking for at the moment is a place to purchase the actual Acer replacement part. I took a look on Amazon and the keyboards seemed a bit sketchy so I'd rather not purchase from there if I don't have to. I refuse to use ebay. So what are my options since I can't get ahold of Acer without paying money?

I am comfortable doing the actual swap myself. I've taken apart lots of laptops and I'm sure this one could use a good cleaning anyways.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jacob
