Why has my new computer got a D: drive partition labelled data? I bought a 3Tb dirive computer and it has been split in half with 1 drive labelled C: and one drive labelled D; Data.

Is it possible to reduce the size of the D: drive ?

What operating system are you using? We have an article with instructions that may help.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I am using Windows 8.1 but that link doesn't seem to cover it

Sorry. Let me provide some more information that I feel will be more helpful. The computer comes with a data partition that allows you to store you important data in a separate partition. This allows you to recover data and restore Windows on one partition, without losing data on the other. You are free to change the configuration if you want. I am providing a link to a forum below that has instructions and discussions on merging and deleting partitions. I hope this information is helpful.
