Is there a fix out there for a problem loading the driver for the Acer Aspire Notebook's DVD/CD drive?  I have the Aspire 5334 with the DVD Super Multi DL drive.

I have a Slimtype DVD A D58A4SH drive. It was working for a little while when I first got the notebook and then it completely stopped.  There was an exclamation mark on the device listing and when I checked to see if he driver was updated, it stated that it was the latest update, etc.  BUT still not working.  I tried to roll it back - that didn't work.  Then I uninstalled the drive completely.  Did a restart and it recognized the DVD drive and began installing the driver for it.  Then is said the driver install failed.  The dvd drive is no longer listed on the device manager.  I've tried going to the driver support/download page on the Acer website for this make and model computer - it does not list DVD drivers at all.   So now I'm confused.  This was a Christmas gift from 2011. So I believe the warranty has expired.  So I'm pretty ticked off if I have to replace a faulty drive that just went out only a month outside of the year warranty.  Anyone out there that has a fix for this problem it will be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.
