Liquid S1 mobile network problem

I have been a proud S1 owner since September 2013. I love this phone, however the last week it has been giving me problem. I cannot make any calls nor texting because the phone cannot register to any of the 2 SIM networks I have. I am currently using 2 SIM cards, and both signal strength icons are just blank triangles.
But when I take the 2nd SIM card out of the phone, and leave the 1st SIM card in there, the phone works just fine with only 1 SIM card.
Anyone has any idea what is going on with my S1? I love the phone so much and I think I can use it with 1 SIM card only, but if it's simple fix and doesn't require opening the phone hardware, I don't mind fixing it.
Thank you

So whatever SIM you use, only on SIM slot 1 card it works?

Yes, the phone only works (able to find a network) if only 1 SIM slot is used. If I put SIM cards on both slots, the phone cannot get any signal at all, the signal bars on top of phone are just empty triangles.
So far I only tried to put SIM card in SIM slot 1 and the phone works. I have not tried to just fill SIM slot 2 and leave SIM slot 1 empty. I wonder if this would work as well.
So, the problem is only when I fill both SIM slots. As if the phone does not have enough power to get radio signals from 2 different service providers.
    Thank you.

Ok, can you try a factory reset?
Remember that you will loose all your data on the phone.

This can help to focus on a software or hardware issue.

That's what worries me, I don't want to lose any data on the phone right now. Is there any apps or software that can backup or move everything from my S1 to other smartphone? I am sorry if this is a silly question.

If you sync your contacts with google, you don't need to worry about that, at first connection google will backup that.
This also works on downloaded application from google play, you will loose "only" their settings.

There are some application on the google market that can backup but for a real full backup you need root.

Hi IronFly, I finally reset my S1 today as the problem was getting worse and got many complains from my friends.
After the reset, the problem is still here. I noticed the factory reset erased everything but the software/firmware of the phone is still the latest version. I tried updating the phone software but it said 'your device is up to date'.
I believe this problem happens after the last system update, how do I return the phone to previous system software? Or do you think it is hardware problem? Thank you

You can't go back with official updates, by the way i think it's an hardware problem.
It's better to contact the Acer service of your region.

Thank you IronFly, I will take my S1 to Acer Service Center. I think it is hardware problem too. When there is no signal, on many occasions I shake the phone a little bit and the signal quickly acquired by the phone. It could be loose antenna I hope.
