I just got the monitor and after setting my refresh rate to 120 hertz the monitor displays a message with " Incorrect Cable. Please use the dual link DVI cable that came with your monitor. ". I am currently using the cable that came with the monitor. And it looks like it is displaying 120 hertz fine.

How can i get rid of the message?

My gpu is AMD HD 7970 Boost Lightning

    Bernard,

I would like to ask a few questions to help me identify the issue. If you would, please check and answer the following.

    • Are you using a DVI - dual link cable? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FileSmiley Very HappyVI_Connector_Types.svg)
    • Do you have the monitor connected directly to your computer or are you using a switchbox or Y splitter?
    • What resolution do you have set? (1920 x 1080 is recommended)
    • Does it give the error when setting it in the OS or is the error something that appears on the monitor OSD?
