A501 Repair times

I have had an A501 for just over a year now, I broke the screen as I stepped backwards onto my bag which had the tablet in it. Took it to a telstra store who said they would get it repaired....  Came back 3 weeks later with a note - Sory can't help,

Logged a call with Acer, I explained the cause of the problem, I was charged on the spot as they would not even log the fault unless I paid. So Pay I did. Printed the information and posted the tablet to ACER. I was told it will be back in 10 working days. even allowing for slight delays it was due back between Christmas and new year.

Today the 9th January I receive a call from Acer requesting I pay for the repairs before they will send it off ???

Mmmm I explained to the person that I had already paid. and I was told there was no record of the payment. I had to go fishing back through my bank statements to give them the date ref no etc to prove I had paid.

 

All I got was Oh Sorry about that we will organise to get you the device...

I also have a second one of these tablets that has a faulty power button...

I wonder how long that one will take ?
