Hey there,

i've used acer products my whole life and i needed a new laptop. I never had complaints so why switch to another company right?

Well if this problem can't get fixed i will send back my laptop and switch to another manufacturer.

The problem:

The problem occures when playing the game League of Legends.

From can you run it software it says my laptop is above the recommended specs to play this game. Still it lags.

My brother has a Dell laptop i will state the differences down here:

My laptop:

Acer Aspire v3 772G

processor intel core i7-4702MQ 2.2ghz

Memory 8.00GB

Graphics Processor Nvidia GeForce GT 750M 2048mb

Operating system Windows 8.1

Brother:

Dell Studio 1749
Processor Intel Core i5-520M 2.4 GHz
Memory 4096 MB
Graphics adapter ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 - 1024 MB
Operating system Windows 7

When we play the game together you always get into a loading screen before the game starts. His laptop is 3-5 seconds (varies) faster then mine, also while playing the game I have MASSIVE lag spikes EVEN with the game quality turned all the way down to the lowest.
We play on the same internet and he has NO lag when i do.
So my question is how can it be that he is faster? while this laptop is better, faster and 1 week old. While his is 3-4 maybe even 5 years old. Also to clear things up here is my internet connection:

I hope anyone can help me with this so i do not have to return my product.

Greetings

    inge_nielen,

The specs of this laptop should not be a problem and from what you are explaining is not related to the hardware of the product. In most cases the lag spikes you are experiencing can boil down to firewall, antivirus setup, or other variables. As for the loading speed this can do to the differenct HDDs and their speed or even the connection with the games server.

If you visit League of Legends website you will see that several people have similar experiences with above spec computers. I would recommend visiting their support site and try some of the suggestions there as they are better fitted to assist you. I can assure you that the problem is not hardware related. The lag spikes can be from a few things:

Large downloads going on in the background
uTorrent/Steam both use MASSIVE amounts of bandwidth
On shared network someone may be using up your bandwidth

Packet loss can also be the problem. If this is the case, I would recommend contacting your ISP.

Also I would try an ethernet connection, if you aren't already. You may find this LoL thread useful http://forums.na.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?t=3601039.
