I have connected my E380 and OTG cable and can not find USB drive. Does anyone try it?

Thanks,

Yes, MT6589 support OTG function, but handset may not do it.

    Thanks you a lot.

Same problem here, i have a Acer Iconia Tab A1-810 that i both before the E380 and it has support to OTG with the same specs and wen i both the E380 i was really expecting to have OTG, i am really disappointed with acer and now i have to stick with the phone without the OTG, and i really need the OTG, how is posible a new phone these days doesn't have OTG!

    A1-810 has MT8125

    E380 has MT6589

Different cpu And Acer never said that OTG was supported by E380.

You are right they didn't said that was supported, actually the information about the device on their web site is almost nothing, you just have a few pictures and no specs, at least on the Portuguese web site.

What new features can we expect? Does the phone run any faster?

I assume the update you applied was not "official", I.e. found on an Acer website and recommended for use in all regions?

The last few days I've been checking and it said no updates available. Checking now is showing "failed to update due to network server error, try again later". Which region are you in?

My phone is now saying it is up to date. Does anyone know if KitKat is available for the E3 Duo Plus?

    Ask acer about their schedule.

    In my test:

    1) No BLE function............that is what I need.

    2) No OTG function.

It is only update software & fix some bug, not new function. I think I will never buy Acer mobile phone again.       Smiley Sad
