Installing Radeon 5870 on Acer Predator G3-605

Hi, I'm trying to install a Radeon 5870 but I'm just getting a black screen.

Things I've tried:

1) Connecting to onboard VGA and booting into safe mode, shutting down, removing, installing gfx card and rebooting. Still black screen

2) Enabled powering up by PCI-E in bios

It's a pretty old card circa 2010 but it still works fine on my old Dell rig so it is definitely not a dead card.

    Hi, Nickt.

    There can be two possibilities.

1: The video card that you are trying to install on this computer might not be compatible.

2: The PCI slot that you are installing the card might be faulty.

If you are able to install any other video card on this computer without any issue means that, the issue is with the compatiibility.

If the computer showing same behaviour with all video cards means that the issue is with the computer (the port). In this case, you may contact Acer support team, they will help you.
