How to burn Windows 8 install disks?

I am wanting to install Ubuntu (Linux) and run Windows 8 in a virtual box. To do so, however, I need the Windows 8 install disks. None came with the computer, though.

Someone said I could burn them via a utility with the computer. I can't find anything in the help topics. Any idea how to do so?

    Good day

On Windows 8, you can only create your factory default image on a flash drive using the acer erocovery management. I do recommend that you get atleast a 32Gig Flash drive to be safe.

    Thank you freeza!

I'm sure it's a good great idea to do so as to protect against hardware crashes, viruses that wipe out the operating system etc., but it looks like it won't help me to set up my system to run on Linux with Windows as a virtual operating system. That apparently requires the original installation disks. Here's a thread I found in the Ubuntu forums:

Re: Virtual Box - Can I use the restore DVD in lieu of the original WinXP?

"That depends. If these DVDs came with the computer and I assume their made by a company (dell or HP or such) then they usually rely on a small or hidden partition on your computer to verify its your computer and to prevent you from using the restore disks on any other machine. If this is the case, no. It won't work on virtual box." ...

I know that Windows used to ship with those disks and were given to the owners so they could restore if the hard drived died etc. Then they were an option where you could buy them for $10 or so. Are those disks, which were presumably used to install the software on my ultrabook available for me anywhere? The materials that came with my new computer did not include the certificate of ownership for the operating system that came with my old XP machine.

Any help would be most appreciated.
