Hi. I don't know much about the advanced stuff on computers but I've been doing research and

- Is upgrading free?. Some gaming websites say to upgrade your ios, bios, video card, sound card ect. Is this something I download off the website for free? If it is free does anyone know where I go?

- When playing games, what would be best; (plugged in), Power-saver, Balanced or High Performance. I don't want my laptop to overheat or get hot.

- What are some important programs I should be downloading to help my laptop?. I do daily scans with AVG Free and MalwareBytes, CCleaner, and have my laptop to check for Window Updates every day.

- Is there a way to increase fan speed or no?

- My speakers don't sound loud. I checked the settings and it's all maxed. Did I blow out my speakers?. They're loud when I ahave headphones in

*Important*

- I plan on buying a can of  compressed Air to get the dust and stuff from inside my laptop since I'm scared to open it up myself. Is it safe if I use it in the side vent that has a fan?. Will it break my fan or anything?.

I have a Acer Aspire 5560g. That's what it says on the sticker.

Thanks

You should only update your BIOS, drivers, or video card if there is a good reason to do it. If it works with what you have, I would not bother upgrading. If you do decide to upgrade BIOS or drivers, you can download them from Acer's website.

    - When playing games, what would be best; (plugged in), Power-saver, Balanced or High Performance. I don't want my laptop to overheat or get hot.

Most laptops are not specifically designed for gaming, so it may get hot. Gaming requires more power, and thus causes more heat. Make sure you the vents are not covered and the computer isn't in your lap, so it can get plenty of air.

    - What are some important programs I should be downloading to help my laptop?. I do daily scans with AVG Free and MalwareBytes, CCleaner, and have my laptop to check for Window Updates every day.

There really are not programs you should load, other than stuff you specifically need. A simple anti-virus like you are running should be sufficient. The more you load on it, the less it will perform.

    - Is there a way to increase fan speed or no?

If there is, there will be an option in the BIOS. The answer is no for most notebooks.

    - My speakers don't sound loud. I checked the settings and it's all maxed. Did I blow out my speakers?. They're loud when I ahave headphones in

Most notebook computers only produce low quality audio, since they have small wattage speakers. It is hard to say if they are blown without hearing them.

It should not break anything. Make sure system is unplugged and not hot.
