Hello all,

Whilst I know that ACER does not support the Aspire 5050 running windows 8.1, I was wondering if any of you tech people out there could help me please.

I have 3GB RAM installed and decided to run Windows 8.1 the system is very smooth and quick, however, I have no wireless and no matter what I try, I have searched endlesly for drivers to get a WiFi connextion but to no avail and would hate to revert back to an earlier flavour of windows.

For some reason, my Wifi connect light is permanantly on also. I have tried old drivers but can not resolve the issue of no wireless conectivity rendering my notebook useless in its curret for.

If anyoe could help, I would be forever in your debt.

Thank you for looking

You might want to consider a USB wireless nano as a workaround. They don't cost much and are tiny. Amazon has a boatload of choices that work with Win8/8.1
