I've just bought a new acer laptop for developing and need to have virtualization enabled. The chipset and CPU both support it but are no settings to enable in the BIOS. In fact the BIOS doesn't let me do much. Is there an advanced menu or something?

I seriously hope i can enable it else this laptop will be going straight back (and all our customers).

Although all the latest Intel processors support "Virtualization", and the BIOS manufacturer lists it in the BIOS, EVERY manufacturer's notebooks that I've seen (Acer, Toshiba, Sony etc.) have it disabled on the BIOS.  I figured it was because they must have to pay some kind of royalty for it.  I've read where some programmers have altered the BIOS successfully to enable it, but I don't suggest you try it on your own unless you're familiar with BIOS programming.  In addition, I'm sure it would invalidate the warranty.
