Good morning yesterday gave me a windows w3 810
i tried to make a restored the windows to clear all data (reinstall windows 8 erasing all) but I thought this missing files.
By having the pending upgrade to windows 8.1, I made it thinking I could do clean install but did not give me that option.
I see that when trying to reinstall erasing all data on restoration, also gives me the indication that missing files to insert means ..
as I can do to restore the tablet to factory settings and delete any and all information?
best regards

You can reset Windows using the instructions in the following video.

If that does not work, you may need to restore from USB recovery media using the instructions below.

Did you follow the instructions for installing from USB in the link I provided? If you did, and it is still not working, it may be a hardware problem that requires repair. We would suggest contacting technical support in your region for further assistance with this issue.

If you are disabling secure boot, and the system will still not boot from USB drive, unfortunately, I don't have any other recommendations other than service. Sorry.

I just lost 2 hours on this issue so this is the solution :

    - Found an USB cable with 2 connectors like this one : http://www.hobby-circuits.com/files/726/usb-power-injector-for-external-hard-drives2_orig.jpg

    - Connect the Data connector to the W3-810

    - Connect the Power connector to a PC

The problem is that W3-810 will probably not give enough power to your DVD drive if you have an USB cable with only one connector.

Great that you figured it out Stephane.  Nice work.  For the W3 and W4, powered hubs are indeed recommended for USB/DVD drives (especially for something important like recovery).  Some USB and DVD drives actually would work without the extra power but it's kind of a crapshoot.
