Hey guys, i've been getting bluescreen's lately playing some games, like Marvel Heroes, Age of Empires 3, etc... what happens exactly is that the game freezes and i get a message saying "nvidia kernel mode has stopped working and has been recovered" after a couple of seconds it bluescreen's. All of this started happening when i upgraded to Windows 8.1 and installed the drivers for it. Been searching the internet high and low tried all possible fixes and i simply cannot get it to work with some games, it seems it's a widespread problem with nvidia GPU's.

Any suggestions?

    Hi Tindude

Not an easy solution, I'm afraid - you may have to revert back to Windows 8.0. Some hardware is not fully compatible with 8.1 and can cause errors or crashes.

So, if you can - revert back to 8.0. This will mean a complete reinstall of Windows from your recovery partition or disks/USB media, so back up all your data.

If you are STILL receiving problems after reverting to 8.0, then the issue will be with your Nvidia chip, but as you've said it worked fine before, so it should be fine.
