I have acer TrvelMate 4000. I was contacted about the chip costfixing lawsuit and given choice of some cash or mre memory. I chose more memory. The notch on the chip board is slightly off from old chip and does not fit. What can I do?

The memory module only fits one way and if the "notch" does not match up try flipping the memory around. If this still does not work, please provide me with any information you can find on the memory module; part number or type of memory. This will help me determine if this was the correct memory for your unit.

Another option would be to take your notebook and memory module to a certified PC/notebook technician for assistance in installing your memory.
