When my system boots into safe mode it will run all day without any issues. I have checked all the windows updates and I have double checked all the drivers for the system.

What could cause the system to just shut down? I have tested the memory and it is all good. Even tried different memory in both slots. I have replaced the hard disk drive with an imaged drive and that did not resolve the issue. I even reinstalled Vista and the same thing happens with the new instalation. NOTE: Even without the drivers installed for vista the same symptoms are present.

I have checked the motherboard and I can not see any phisical issues with Caps or with components. The CDROM was removed and tested and there are no nicles in the SD slot... yes it happens..

Can someone give me some idea as to what may be happeing with the system?

Thanks

Your Graphics may be failing, have you tried different drivers? How about the Temps? Have you done repasting the cpu and checked the GPU thermal pad for any damage?

Don't use thermal paste for your GPU, just replace the pad if it's damaged.

The system does have the high(er) end graphics card and I have not done any replacement of the thermal past as of yet. I will be doing that tonight. My temps are not out of the normal on eather the CPU or the GPU. The temp does not excede 60*C or 140*F.
