I have an Extensa 5620 that I've added RAM to, but the computer doesn't seem to recognize it yet - where do I need to go on here to find help?

Remove the modules, try them one at a time in the bootom slot, repeat the procedure for top slot as well, make sure the modules are seated properly.

    Hi cassie50

You can't always just add RAM and expect it to work, because there are different types available!

Motherboards also have a maximum recognised RAM. Also each RAM slot will only accept a certain size - it may be 2GB per slot or as much as 8GB!

I suggest to go to www.crucial.com and select the memory scanner tool. This will scan your system and advise exactly on the RAM needed.
