How do I modify the width to height ratio on an S220HQL monitor?

Just bought a new S220HQL monitor, but no matter what screen resolution I select in the Windows Control Panel, everything appears MUCH too wide on screen.  How do I alter the aspect ratio, to either decrease the relative width or increase the relative height that displays on-screen?  I do a lot of work with PhotoShop, and accurate proportions are absolutely essential.

The native resolution of the monitor S220HQL is 1920 x 1080 @60Hz.  The aspect ratio is fixed at 16:9.

While it is possible to change the display resolution, if you would like the truest representation, it is suggested that you use the native resolution to display every pixel in its proper perspective.

There are a fixed number of pixels on the LCD.

It is not possible to change the number of pixels to alter the aspect ratio.
