Can I enable the onboard graphics inside the Nvidia mcp67 chipset fom an Aspire 5520 notebook?

Hi, my Nvidia 8600m gs mxm II slot garphic card does not work properly any more. Now I know that I could send it for reballing to a service, but that would cost me money and I have no guarantee that it is going to last more than 6 months.

So, my question is, if it is possible somehow to enable that onboard graphics? I know there are Aspire 5520 models without the Nvidia 8600m gs mxm II slot garphics, that have the Nvidia 7000m inside the chipset enabled. Do they have another bios

or is it just on hardware level disabled?  If possible, how should I proceed?

Thx.

Decebal.

If you remove the MXM graphics card, the system should default to using the onboard graphics solution when available. If this does not work, you may look into replacing the MXM card with a new compatible card.
