Usually held in by 6 plastic catches near the top and side edges of the keyboard. Use a putty knife to pry and lift. Here's a generic Acer disassembly similar to your V7. It looks simpler than it really is --- it's a pain. The ribbon connector is near the bottom of the keyboard and is also a pain to re-insert when you're putting it all back together.

When I replaced my keyboard, I just used black electrician tape (transparent is OK too)  to hold the top and side edges in place so it would be easier than dealing with the plastic catches the next time. Not even noticeable.

Sorry. That's why it's called it "generic" video --- as in a representative example of how it's down in a comparable laptop. Short of having access to an exact V7 video, it's suggested that you  examine the replacement keyboard you have and note the positions of the small indents or catches near the top edge and sides --- they interlock with corresponding tabs in the main body. Sometimes they don't come out too easily --- I broke one of the tabs on my laptop getting the keyboard out. You might be better off asking a local repair shop to do the replacement if you've never attempted something like this before.

No i do not need ask computer shop they would destroy it ! or they would steal components from it and replace it with some faulty ones . in here uk i would NEVER sent anything to shops .. u have no idea what they do with all laptops changing ***** hdds and putting in laptops and they taking better from those laptops and selling
I am repairing laptops and PC and phones too ;-)
But if i have first time new laptop I first check online and I couldn't find one with v7!
When u did it u should make video and upload on YouTube ..
Am careful so I don't want break anything on laptop ..
I had stripped down bottom ..
Can I see those clips from bottom ? I can remove battery and I can remove motherboard
I thought there will be screws underneath holding that metallic palm rest

I found at least V5 but that is still different

I am not affiliated with Acer. But your V7 model should still be under warranty. Accordingly, you should be able go  to the Acer support contact page, verify your eligibility for this type of support, and arrange to talk, chat or email an Acer tech rep to ask advice on Acer's specifically recommended procedure for lifting and re-inserting the keyboard. Your request is simple, reasonable and should be easy for them to handle.

Phone & chat page for UK http://www.acer.co.uk/ac/en/GB/content/service-contact

Looks like chat is closed on weekends. Don't know about the tech phone --- probably the same. You're probably gonna have to give them an SNID and they'll see it came from Germany. So be forewarned, they might try to pass the buck to the German tech affiliate even though it's such a simple request.

I hope those smiley faces mean that you are joking! Those keys can be extremely difficult to re-insert after they''ve been popped off. Some of them have a complex multi-piece plastic teeter-totter arrangement that will fly apart if you try to pry the keytop off.

My keys on laptop are bigger than on replacement keyboard.  I cannot do it they won't fit .. they are small ooh *****

I have contacted seller from Shenzen .. he said there are two models .. I have compared keyboards all same shapes even connectors same illumination connector same but keys are smaller  .. oh well sending back for full refund .. Or seller said something he might check if there is another model with same bigger keys
