Aspire 5315 2153. C drive, 32g, full. d drive, 32g, empty. How do I reallocate space in d to c?   I have used the discmanagment and shrunk d to half its size, ( all that was allowed) but that created a new unallocted space it did not encrease the size of c which is what I was aming for. I have very little in the way installed programs or saved files, according to a widirstat scan 57.8 % of c is windows and 20.5 % is Users.

Vista home basic.

Thank you

You would need third party partitioning software to be able to merge the new unallocated space with the existing C partition.

I've got the same problem. Could you give me a step by step guide on how to get the third party partitioning software to merge the new unallocated space with the existing C partition? Plus, could someone tell me how much hard drive memory I have? Plus,my RAM is 1 gig and it's working at 93% capacity,do I need more RAM, or shall I just bin this laptop and get a fresh one?
