Aspire 5551 lights blinking, no charge.

I have an acer aspire 5551 which will not charge. When it finally does pick up a charge, after a few minutes the power led, battery and charge led lights all start to blink. Can someone PLEASE help? This is very important.

I'm sorry to hear you are having problems with the notebook charging and keeping power. What you are describing can be an indication that the adapter is bad or the connection between the adapter and AC power pin is loose. This can be cause by the port being worn out or the power pin may be broken/loose.

 

You can try purchasing a new AC adapter and this may resolve the issue. I would check the connection and if its loose, test the power pin to see if it wiggles. Do this by removing the battery and adapter and use your finger nail or something long enough to touch the power pin to see if it moves. If it moves it might be more than what a new adapter can fix and would require repair.
