Aspire R3700 seems Dead, replaced power supply without luck?

I have had this Aspire for a few years now. (R3700 all in one) It has been completely fine no issues until a few days ago. I went to turn it on and nothing would happen. No lights, no fans, just completely dead. My first guess was the power supply, so I ordered a new one. Got it today and still no luck. I opened it up and reseated everything, but it didn't help.

Has anyone had this issue? I have searched around and have not found a similar problem. I did find a couple people that could get the fan to spin, but mine won't even do that?

I have a bad feeling its done, but I am hoping there is something I can try.

Thank you!

    Hi Aleforge

If the plug on the end of your power lead is fused, check to see if the fuse has blown. Also try a different wall socket, just in case. Ideally, replace the lead with a new one.

If this fails to make a difference, it can only be:

    1. The new power supply is faulty - can it be tested on another machine?

    2. The motherboard has died - possibly fried by the original faulty supply.
