Hello everyone, I have a problem with the integrated Wireless Network Adapter of the laptop (which is a Atheros AE5B91).

The problem is that I have two partitions one with Windows 7 and one with Linux Ubuntu Server 12.04. (Note I had windows installed first). When I installed Linux at first the adapter worked. I could reboot and the adapter worked automatically. But once I shutdown the laptop and the next day booted it up the adapter doesn't turn on automatically anymore, and when it boots to Linux I can even turn it on manually, I press the button to turn it on, on the laptop but it doesn't work for some reason. But when i boot to Windows and log into them, when I press the button then the adapter turns on.

That's the whole problem. Has anyone encountered this kind of problem? And has anyone solved it?

To make sure we understand the issue:

The network adapter works correctly under Windows 7, which shipped with the system.

You installed Ubuntu Server and now have an issue with the network adapter while using Ubuntu.

Have you checked with http://www.ubuntu.com/ to make sure the network adapter is qualified for the OS ?
