Acer V3-571g shuts down after 5 seconds

The laptop was working 100% apart from a screen that needed replacing....

I changed the screen which was identical to the original.

However i must of incorrectly fitted the screen cable connection and when i power up i hear the fans kick in, then they go silent and then laptop completley shuts down all in around 5 seconds.

Ive tried removing battery and power cable and holding down power button for 30 seconds but still same.

Ive removed the screen but same problem.

Ive disconnected the screen cable from the motherboard but still same.

So the fault aint with them.

It seems that i must of shorted something when i wrongly pushed the cable end into the screen, but what is usually at fault with the above symptoms?

  What fault would usually be linked to the screen cable shorting??

 It seems something on the motherboard didnt like the short and took out a part there, hence it shuts down after 5 seconds or so.

I must not be the only person this has happened to so any help with this would be great ty.
