Wasted over $600 on a piece of junk (Aspire 5820T laptop)

I'm making this post because apparently I'm not allowed to contact any kind of support since my 1 year warranty is over. This laptop has given me nothing but problems since the day I bought it. I sent it back in for repairs after the harddrive crashed and they only fixed half of my problems.  Here are some of the remaining problems that Acer refuses to address:

 

1. The "Dolby Home Theater" is the worst sound quality I've ever heard. I tried to watch several movies/shows with my wife and we can barely hear a thing even at max volume. This is by far the worst feature of the laptop, making it virtually impossible to properly use.

2. The scrolling cursor is intermittent. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. That's convenient.

3. There are several defective pixels on the monitor, shown as white "burn through" marks after only a few months of use. I addressed this before I sent the product in for repair and they sent it right back to me without even touching it.

4. The webcam quality is among the worst I've seen, delivering nothing but a blurred image.

 

To add to the physical problems of my laptop, Acer customer service was a complete and total waste of time.

 

The call goes right to India to a "representative" who cannot speak proper English. From then I knew what type of company Acer was. The type who puts its customers last and the smallest amount of profit first, but this shouldn't be much of a surprise, since they are Chinese owned.

 

I've never been so upset with a company before in my life.  I will NEVER purchase another acer product after this dreadful experience. I will also do all that I can to discourage others from purchasing Acer products. Maybe Mr. Wang (CEO) will learn that when you compromise your customers satisfaction and the quality of your products/service, you will lose $$$ in the end. 

 

Now it's time to post this review to every possible site I can find on the internet.

    I know how you feel & you 100% dead on

    This was my reply after buying & returning

    A computer I was lucky got it back before the 15 days were up! I will buy pencils & paper before I buy any thing more from them

    I will be putting this computer back in its box ASAP
    And returning it to were I bought it and looking for one were it comes with every thing and I do not have to spend a week on the net finding thing that normally come with a computer when you buy it.
    Thank you”
