Acer Warranty UK More Information

Acer UK warranty information is almost non-existant so it would be good to have more information on coverage.

1. The Warranty T&Cs is slightly misleading as clause 2.1.2 should be split into two clauses as ANY damage is exculded and not just those listed in 2.1.2.x.

2. More information on what sort of faults are inculded in the warranty. I know for expample that: Any screen issues are excluded no matter the cause.

3. You have to pay postage & packaging for the return even though they should already have the packaging. Note. That they only tell you this once they have your device.

4. You get a pre-paid postage to send but they essentially charge you this when they send the device back.

5. Even if you say you want it repaired under warranty and they know that the problem you describe is exculded they will still approve it. Wasting weeks of you time and being charged P&P.

6. The Warranty does nothing above the Sales Of Goods Act (SOGA). So use that intead of the Warranty under all circumstances as it provides much better protection.

 

All this is true and it would be nice for Acer to provide more detailed information on Warranty on their website like they do for some other countries (I have checked).
