Acer H340 can't connect to the server

Hello,

I've had the home server for many years. Last month we had a power issue for many days. After that I've been having trouble connecting to the server.

I have two computers connected.

The first problem is that when using the Home Server Console I get the error message: "This computer can't connect to your home server. Check your network connection...." However I am able to access the shared files on the network using the shortcut Shared files. Therefore the server is connected and somehow I'm able to access the files. I have tried many things I've seen online and I today I have been able to connect to the server from one of the computers (A) using mstsc.exe. Nothing else has worked. When I got to the Remote Desktop inside the server I am able to access the windows server console, but only through the mstsc, the desktop icon doesn't work.

Then once I was able to access it, I saw that the other computer (B) hasn't had a backup for 44 days. I have tried to do the same but it's not working, there's no way I can access the server and to do a manual backup from the Windows Home Server Console from Computer A. I can't access shared folders through computer B either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
