Sounds like a Factory restore to me (depending on all the data you have on the computer. I know it can be painful.)

Save all of your personal data on an external drive

    Go to the start button

Locate the Acer Folder in All programs

Look for the program called "Acer eRecovery Management"

When the program comes up, click on restore, then click on option 1, restore computer to factory defaults.

That will get rid of anything you have on your comptuer...updates, virus's, registry errors, ect ect ect.
