Aspire V5 572G blue screen on battery =/

I have had my acer aspire v5 for over a month now and have run into a strange problem....

I recently installed a small 64GB MSATA drive that i use for installing some of my programs and games onto. The MSATA has been running fine for weeks of use. As i use it alot for gamming i decided to change the thermal paste (which i have done often on other machnines with great success).

After doing this i powered the laptop up from battery and discovered windows 8 would blue screen every time i would run some programs. I panicked, plugged the laptop back into the mains and have been running stress tests on the laptop and monitored the temperature levels but everything looks good.

I discovered it would only crash when running from the battery. Opening programs such as "Steam" always seem to cause the crash but Stanger programs such as the Acer Bios updater from the official site also caused windows to crash along with real temp when trying to read the NVIDIA chips information. As this is a portable ultrabook its not exactly doing its job. My thoughts are the NVIDIA driver for the Geforce 720M  =/

I have noticed that a review o the offical acer site for this model complained about windows 8 blue screening.

Has anyone had or even heard of a similar problem? Maybe even have a solution? Many thanks for readying =)
