New Laptop Slow!

I just got this laptop on Black Friday at Walmart (with two year warranty) and it is extremely slow! I had to send it in for repair once already because the mouse button got stuck and it took Acer a month to fix it. I'm an online student and can't send my computer away for that long again!! Can someone please tell me why a brand new computer works only half as good as my old dell laptop? No I'd REALLY like some actual help with this issue! I have installed Microsoft 8.1 and everything is still slow as ever. This seems to be a problem with the online community that is not getting resolved. Thanks!

it would help if you post what system you have and what os it ships with along with what problem you have and when it happen and any error message
