Aspire M5 583p internet connection problem (NEED HELP)

hello, ever since i have bought my aspire m5 i have been furious with it. the internet never works. ive been online with support and installed new drivers and everything just to have it update and break again. no matter what i do it shows that im having trouble connecting to the internet. it not my router all other computers work great. every time i connect to wifi it will say it is having trouble connecting then will just come up with a message saying " connection is limited" then my internet will take 3 minutes just to open google. please help this makes doing anything impossible on this computer and am at my wits end with it and am regretting ever buying a product from ACER....

  • The 'positive' from your post is the 'connection is limited' message. This, while of no help in itself, does tell you that your M5 and your router are talking to one another.
    In my experience, this invariably means your laptop settings are incorrect.
    Things to check:

    Confirm security settings and key are correct.

    Assuming your router is configured as a DHCP server, ensure your wifi is set to obtain an IP address automatically.
    Also (on the same page) set to obtain DNS server address automatically.

    Interrogate your router and find the assigned IP address for the M5. Confirm it matches your M5 (use command prompt window and type ipconfig). If you are not using a DHCP server, check IP address (is valid and unique on your system), subnet mask and default gateway settings are correct.
