Aspire 7551 mPCIe / mSATA slot?

On the 7551, next to the RAM slots, there is an empty slot that appears to be either mPCIe or mSATA.  There is a limited amount of information about this slot available online, but from what I've been able to find, I understand that it is probably mPCIe.  My question is, does anyone know if this slot can accomadate a SSD?  I know mPCIe and mSATA have the same physical configuration with different pinouts, but there are mPCIe SSDs out there, but they'll only function if the slot has a connection to the SATA bus.  Can anyone confirm if there are any compatible SSDs out there for this laptop?

I do not show any SSDs that shipped with this product.

The indicators for the connector that you mention only list it as "Reserved Mini-card Connector".

There is nothing that I am able to find that shipped in that location.
