Aspire v5-571-6726 will not connect to my Plantronics Voyager headset and to a Bluetooth mouse.

I fully understand that I am not as intelligent as the Acer or Plantronics or Microsoft designers but why can't I just see and/or make choices about what is really going on?

Device Manager says the PLT Voyager headset is working but it is not pairing!  Can I please see whether the laptop is trying to pair or not?  Can I TELL the v5-571-6726 to attempt to pair like I do with my phone or the headset itself?  My inexpensive HYPE Bluetooth Mouse pairs more or less OK, although it takes a ridiculous amount of time to do so and again I really don't know what's going on for ten minutes and then poof it kicks in.  I have used Fn-F3 one hundred thousand times to turn the Bluetooth on or off and I am tired of it.  Darn it does this laptop have Bluetooth as advertised or not?

    Good day

Download and install the latest bluetooth driver from: http://support.acer.com/us/en/product/default.aspx?tab=1&modelId=4251

That did nothing.  I use Acer updater all the time.  it's really sick that I convrted to Windows 8 and lost many features.  Sad sad sad.  Ad apparently no help from Acer, no plans to retrofit.  Of course I bought mine all the way back in September so I guess its old ***** now.

And disappointed in this Community - no worhtwhile response.  Thansk to the one person that tries at least, but I had already tried that.  And if you knwo exactly how to check the exact make and model of the driver in place in Win *, I'll be glad to look it up.  I think Acer forgot me after the sael.  The machine simply lost features in Windows 8 and Acer obviously does not want to go back and make it work.  Sad.
