My scroll bar on the mouse pad has stopped working.  Is there somewhere in the settings that I can go to to fix this?

Are you talking about the touchpad? If yes, does any of it work? If nothing is working, does your your model have a function-key combination (such as Fn F7) that disables it? (Look at the icons printed on the function keys to see if there is a symbol for the touchpad.

 

If you are talking about the scrolling function only, the first step I would take is right-click My Computer, choose Manage, then under Device Manager, see if the touchpad is marked as not functioning. If that's the case, the next thing I would do it replace the driver. If that doesn't work, it sounds like you're going to need to send it in for repairs.
