Hi, im new, from uruguay.

I will buy this tablet, because brings Windows 8

The question is, is windows 8 rt or the "desktop" version. I need to install an JVM, and i read in some post that JVM is not possible to install in this operative system. (win 8 rt)

Thx

There are a number of postings on the W4, I would suggest a review of those first. There are some limitations of the 8" Bay Trail tablets you should know about. Note the USB charging issue.

When the W4 is available (next year ?) it will have the full Windows 8.1 standard (not Pro). RT is ded (and never should have been born IMNSHO).

A W4 (or any Clover or Bay Trail device) can support a Virtual Machine, but I am not certain you will want to. The limiting factor is the 2GB of RAM (which is really 1.7GB since some is set aside for Display). I have heard of some running an XP box which only needs 512k or RAM but doubt that it could support anything later without excessive page swapping.

To run virtual machines regularly I would start with at least 4GB of RAM.
