Hi,
I have an Acer Aspire 5520 notebook.
Does the expresscard slot support speeds up to usb 3.0 ?
If I buy a usb 3.0 expresscard , would I be able to use a usb 3.0 pen drive in usb 3.0 mode in my Acer Aspire 5520 notebook?

Searching online, the answer you require is yes, but apparently you will need an external power supply, because USB 3.0 requires 4.4-5.25 volts, where as ExpressCard slots only give 1.5 or 3.3 volts. Even then, it will not be quite as fast as an onboard USB 3.0 slot - but still quicker than a USB 2.0!
