Hi,

I'm no IT wizard so sometimes I may seem unclear or stupid.

I'm having trouble installing the drivers for the Intel HD Graphic on a Apire V-5 431p.

So here are the facts :

-I am running windows 7 on the notebook, I don't know how it has been installed and I don't know which version of Win 7, but the drivers for the wireless are working fine (on some others threads this bug is mentioned).

-I'm having  fuzzy screen, kind of double image, each time I install any version of either the Intel or the Acer drivers (I even tried some for Win8) for the Intel HD Graphic. So I just deactivated them and the image come back clear.

Same problem as in the video but on Win7

Close from multiple other post I saw except I have win 7

So from these thread I suspected a UEFI problem, secure boot, etc.

Now I have some questions :

Is this a UEFI problem as I suspected ?

What is explained in the other threads, I'm not sure of what I understood, does it fix the graphic drivers bug or the wifi driver one ? Or both ?

I kind of understood the trick to do with Win 8 but will the same thing will work with windows 7 ?

About the unmodified version of Windows you need, I think I have it but not sure, the  version I have is from "free" student library that I have from university.

DreamSpark - Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (French) --> What is DreamSpark ? A modification ?

I also have versions of Win 8.1, from the same library, once again will the "workaround" trick will work ?

So I guess that's all, don't hesitate to ask me more if needed

And thanks in advance for the help.

I'll try to step through your post and answer what I'm able.

I'm not sure how you got Windows 7 on the system, I'm only seeing Windows 8 as an available shipping operating system.

If you'd like, please send me the serial number via private message and I can pull the shipping OS for the system.

It's only fuzzy when you install xyz software.  This is obviously a software issue.

This has absolutely nothing to do with UEFI.  As noted above, it only occurs when you attempt to install software xyz, so it is a software issue.

Finally, please be aware that we can only offer support for the operating system that we ship with the computer.

My suggestion would be to restore the system to it's original factory configuration.
