Acer R7 EzelToast Nofication error

We are running a custom .NET application on the Acer R7 tablets.  We constantly receive a pop-up error "EzelToastNotificationAgent has stopped working"... On some tablets, the screen does not flip when we turn the screen over, not sure if this is related.  What is causing this error and what are the best steps to repair?

Hi,

 

To get ride of this error message, we first uninstalled the Acer Ezel Agent application.

 

In Windows 8, search the Settings for "Uninstall a program", find the Azer Ezel Agent program, highlight it, and click Uninstall.

 

There is also a scheduled task called "Acer Aspire R7 Tutorial" that tries to start "C:\ProgramData\OEM\Acer Aspire R7 Tutorial\EzelToastNotificationAgent.exe". We disabled this scheduled task, and the issue was resolved.

 

In Windows 8, search the Settings for Scheduled Tasks. Start the Task Scheduler, click the Task Scheduler Library, in our case, the Acer Aspire R7 Tutorial task was the very first task, right-click it, and select Disable.
