No sound in headphones

I've recently reinstalled Windows 7 on my Acer Aspire 4820TG and suddenly whenever I plug my headphones jack in I hear no sound.

My question: Is there any special acer supplied audio driver on restore disk partition that I need to download somewhere? Or does my laptop need additional acer software apart from audio drivers?

The thing is. When I got my computer will all that Acer crapware installed, sound worked.

TL DR

I've ruled out mechanical damage because headphones work when I boot up Ubuntu on my laptop.

I've tried:

Reinstalling drivers that I found on acer driver page (in my case both Realtek drivers versions 6.0.1.6156 nad 6.0.1.6096) several times. Removing all drivers and controllers.

Letting Windows 7 install their own drivers.

Ok. I take it back. Now I can't even boot Windows 7 with my headphones connected. Finally a laptop with a character.
