BIOS PROBLEM

I Updated the BIOS of my ACER V3-571G version 2.04 to 2.17. HOW CAN I RETURN TO 2.04???

As you have found, 2.04 will not install if the current BIOS is later (all part of the grand plan I suspect!).
2.04 is also wrapped in a single executable which makes it difficult to modify.

I haven't looked too closely but you could try an earlier BIOS (1.??) as at least one is packaged as individual files which may allow you to edit the '.ini' file. In doing so you may we able to override the version check parameter (my guess is that it is a variable in this file but it could also be a switch of course).
My thinking here is simply that you could perhaps modify and load the earlier BIOS and then upgrade to 2.04 in the normal way.

However, I have no idea if this is possible or what repercussions could result from attempting this!! It follows that if you attempt this you do so entirely at your own risk. I am not recommending or even suggesting you do this!

 

After thought: Don't try a Win7 BIOS if you are currently Win8 UEFI.
