Series and Model numbers Confusion

I amd Derek and I am trying to help a friend who is mentally challenged with an Aspire 7535 notebook. Unfortunately, we don't live in the same city. Thus I wanted to find out exactly what build of notebook he has. He sent me a picture of some labels form his machine. Again, unfortunately, I am not familiar with the series, model and serial number scheme of ACER Notebooks.

Here is what I gleaned from the plate at the bottom of the notebook:

Aspire 7535/7535G/7235 (on the ACER webside I found manuals for the Aspire 7535 and 7535G nothing on 7235

What is the meaning of these 3 different numbers? which one is the real one?

I was able to retrieve what they call a generic user manual that gives me a variety of features all star marked depending on the model. Hence I don't know what is in the unit my friend has.

Then there is a model number given: MS2262 What is that? I thought Aspire 7535, etc. was or were the model numbers?

BTW when I enter the MS2262 code into the search for manual function at the ACER website, I get the message: Service not available. So what do I do now?

A third issue is the serial number which my friend could not find at the bottom of the unit.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have no way of knowing where the numbers came from, as I cannot see the image your friend sent you.

The easiest thing to do is to get the serial number of the system.

How do I find my serial number or SNID?

Is there a particular issue that is occuring that we can help with?

You may verify the content of the label (see attached picture) at the bottom of the Aspire 7535/7535G/7235 NetBook (take your choice, I don't know which model number applies). What I was trying to find out exactly what my friends unit contains (e.g., type and speed of processor, amount of RAM, what special options model depending, etc.). I checked under Aspire 7535G on your website, however the documentation available is of a generic nature showing a plethora of options, each denoted, depending on model and that not all models have this or that. That doesn't really define anything for my friends unit.

What I really wanted is to find out the exxact build of the unit (Blue-Ray drive (yes or no), BlueTooth (yes or no), processor speed ? Ghz, Ram installed ?GB, Hard Drive ? GB, etc.). Is there a way to retrieve this information from the NoteBook itself?

Any help will be immensely appreciated

May the real model number please stand up and shout!!

With the serial number, I can get you the information you are requesting.

Please use the link I posted in the previous message to understand how to get that information.
