W510 does not wake when ejected from dock

Hello,

I've been following along the other display driver topic on the sleep/wake issues which were mostly resolved by the last update. However, I (aswell as some others judging by the replies) still have trouble with the tablet screen not waking when removing the tablet from the dock without first waking it first. Since the other topic was marked as resolved, I figured I would open this topic this topic as this does not correspond with my situation.

To recap my issue, the screen stays black when physically removing the tablet from the dock before waking up. However, it does seem the issue is only screen related since the windows button does vibrate and remounting/closing and opening the dock will sometimes restore the display. Otherwise I have to force shutdown the tablet and restart using the power button. Obviously this is rather annoying.

I forgot to mention, these problems only started occuring in Windows 8.1. I had no such problems with the original Win8.

I'm looking forward to a solution!

Thanks

There has been a unit tested here and when undocked, it remains in sleep mode.

Pressing the power button should wake the system from sleep.

    Hello Tommy,

Thanks for taking the time to respond. I believe I may not have been specific enough in my description, my apologies. The problem only occurs when the tablet is docked, and the dock is physically closed modus at the time the tablet is removed. If the dock is opened while the tablet is sleeping and the tablet is then ejected, it wakes just fine.

I frequently take out my tablet+dock when travelling and simply eject the tablet without physically opening the dock since I only need the tablet. If I do this, the tablet does seem to wake up (vibration when touching Windows button, etc.) but the screen stays black. If I place the tablet in the dock again, open it, close it and open it, the screen works again.

Consequently, my solution at the moment is to open the dock first, then take out the tablet and place the dock back in in my bag. Which is not to practical when you're standing in metro. It would be great if I could just take out the tablet when the dock is in closed mode, as I could before.

    Thanks.
