Hi!

This is my first post to this forum.

I bought mu Acer Aspire 3830TG-6864 Notebook in Janyary 2012 and have found it well suited to my needs.

Recently I bought a Nexus 7 tablet and saw that it could network with my Acer notebook using Acercloud.

I have an Acer ID and I successfully downloaded acerCloudInstaller2_03_2005.exe. However I can't run it successfully on my Acer Notebook.

 

After the unpacking of files and the beginning of the installation process I get an error message saying "Can't find script engine "VBscript" for script "C:\User\Roger\AppData\Local\Temp\7zS2CFA.tmp\runbat.vbs"  Below is the screen shot of the error. I have read other posts about registering and deregistering vbscript.dll, tried it but without success.

I also note that the default program assigned to process files with a  .vbs extension is "wscript.exe" in the SYSWOW64 windows sub-folder (I run the 64-bit windows version). I also checked that the associated "vbscript.dll" is also there in the sub-folder.

 

Can anyone help me to get on with my installation of Acercloud?

I believe that AcerCloud utilizes Microsoft .NET Framework.

Please be sure that you have updated your system with all Microsoft .NET Framework updates.
